Gorgeous Sites

Brahmani Yoga

So what is Usenet anyway?

I just read that instead of torrents, some people download "NZB" files from "Usenet" servers such as Astraweb ($25 for 180GB), Giganews and Binverse. They then use a free usenet search engine or a paid usenet catalog site like NZBMatrix ($10 for ten years), and, to download the NZB files, a news reader like Grabit or Newsbin Pro (and perhaps a scheduler like NBSchedule). Pretty complex, ey?!!!

Wireless

How to connect to your router in a big house?
I read that a type of antenna called a "cantenna" works really well.
I once owned a USB wireless card shaped like a dish that could pick up signals from far (it was the Hawking HWU8DD.).
I've read that the Alfa AWUS036H is also a great card to pick up signals from far but haven't tried it.
I've also used a wireless range extender (made by Hercules, I think).
Here's a good discussion of antennas, and here's a DIY approach.
